La Luke 2022 Chardonnay Los Carneros

The drought conditions continued in the 2022 growing season. A very dry winter led to an early bud break and the vines developed slowly and stayed small. The summer was cool which resulted in a slow, concentrated ripening that allowed maximum flavor and aroma development with low sugar levels and high acidity. We were able to plan harvest before a very hot spell around Labor Day

 The result is a dense, elegant, and well-balanced wine.

The nose is intense and complex with mineral aromas of pear and apricot followed with rich spicy notes.

This Chardonnay shows layers of stone fruit along with peach and floral notes. It possesses an elegant acid backbone carrying the long finish of the wine.

Our 2022 La Luke Chardonnay is really an uncompromising wine: it is rich but elegant, vibrant but focused, unraveling in a fresh and long finale.
